2018 Battle of the Bands
Every year, the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh! sells t-shirts during the Picnic Day Battle of the Bands. These shirts typically have designs related to that year's Picnic Day theme on the front and a design with the mascots of all of the participating bands' school mascots on the back.
This year, the UC Davis Picnic Day theme was "Where the Sun Shines." To incorporate the theme, I drew a radial arrangement of bandsmen in front of the sun. This front design is centered on a picture of the Mrak Hall egghead which is located at the site of the annual Battle of the Bands.

The design for the back of the shirt was based on a photo of the band officers that I took during a halftime show rehearsal this past fall, making the shirt a fun inside joke for bandsmen as well as a representation of the chaotic spirit of the Battle of the Bands

Due to changes in the roster of attending bands, the back of the shirt had to be edited before the shirts could be printed.
